The girls and I took the opportunity to check out the houses on The Highland Lakes Garden Club Home Tour today. We saw some amazing ridge views and meticulously maintained gardens. All very inspiring! On the tour we got to stop at the Aldridge family home who has beautiful lake views, gorgeous hydrangeas flanking the […]

Our last first day of school! @sarah_beth_bailey, Our last first day of school! @sarah_beth_bailey, keep being uniquely you and enjoy all this year has to offer as you work to become the nurse you want to be. I can’t think of a better soul to “fix up” the world around you.
It was a joy to get to experience for myself the w It was a joy to get to experience for myself the work in Honduras that Jonathan and the girls have been a part of the past 3 years.

The 4 of us just got back from a week in Campamento, Honduras. This is a growing area nestled in between mountains with many people living in rural mud houses in the hills. It was in these rural areas we were able to meet and work with the children and families through their local schools.

It is a good thing for local US churches to support foreign preachers in their ministries, but it is another thing to get to visit and be an encouragement to those foreign churches and their communities. We are grateful to Maximo Donaldo Enamorado and Eduardo Gonzales hospitality and efforts to share the gospel in Campamento.

@christianrelieffund, provides us nice lodging and meals for the week and coordinates our travel and projects each day. For most of our group who had been before, it was like coming home and they knew what to expect.

It was a week full of walking, no air-condition, bugs, loud noises at all hours of the night, but full of so much love and joy for the work that was accomplished. Each of our limited Spanish vocabulary was met with smiles/sonrisas by all we interacted with. We had some of the best possible conditions this week thanks to the multitude of prayers we had sent our way from back home!

This video will show you the highlights and a good representation of what our week looked like.

Time seems to stand still in the pursuit of the prettiest blossoms to harvest and stopping to enjoy the details of nature.
The four of us were blessed to spend another week The four of us were blessed to spend another week experiencing a little bit of heaven on earth at FC Alabama Camp!

This year’s theme, “Not Home Yet,” was woven beautifully throughout the week—from the Bible classes to the world-travel-themed banquet. The singing and camper-led worship were especially powerful and uplifting.

One of the greatest joys of the week was knowing 22 precious souls put on Christ in baptism and were added to the Lord’s family.

I once again had a bird’s-eye view of camp life as one of the staff photographers, capturing the special moments, friendships, and memories made throughout the week.

Jonathan served as a counselor for a group of high school boys and probably got the least amount of sleep out of all of us!

Savannah helped my sister, Kathryn, with crafts and special events, while Sarah Beth was living her best camp life as a camper. She was thrilled to serve on the Alpha Club and work in the Coffee House this year. Sarah Beth brought her spirit and green energy to KO! It was no surprise she won the most unique banquet costume as the Statue of Liberty.

Throughout the week, staff members freely shared their talents, wisdom, and servant hearts with campers, making a lasting impact on so many lives.

As we leave camp encouraged and renewed, we’re reminded of the ultimate goal we all long for—to one day hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” ❤️
